Julie Lipsett is a registered architect of over 15 years experience. She has considerable experience of coordinating major public sector architectural and public art projects often involving liaison with complex community, business and government stakeholders. Much of Julie’s recent experience has been gained while working for the National Capital Authority, the government body responsible for the commonwealth land in Canberra, where she managed a number of major public art and architecture projects within the parliamentary zone.  Julie also worked as a designer and project architect at the firms Woods Bagot and GHD in Canberra working with mainly institutional and commercial clients. Most recently, she has run her own private practice for three years.  She moved to Federal recently where she now works and is an active participant in the local community.

Experience includes:
Project management and architect

  • Redevelopment of National RAAF Memorial, Anzac Parade;
  • Stage 2 of Reconciliation Place, Parliamentary Zone in Canberra;
  • AMP Olympic Sculptures Project 2000-1; and
  • Exhibition designs for National Capital Exhibition, Regatta Point Canberra

Project Architect

  • Ansett Call Centre, Tuggeranong ACT 2000

Architect including remote overseas projects:

  • Emergency Services Upgrade, Masterplan and Substation Upgrade, Old Parliament House 1998
  • Housing complex for Australian staff, Pohnpei, Micronesia; and
  • Staff Apartments, Australian Chancery Development, Hanoi, Vietnam; and
  • A wide range of small commercial and domestic projects.
